The 5'1" is riding how I hoped it would: Fast and Loose!

I've been messing around with different fin set-ups and locations on this board (see older post).  Anyway, so stoked that I finally nailed it with this bamboo quad set up.  Surfed some thigh high mushy peelers this AM and had a blast.  Plenty of speed and it  feels really smooth to turn or even snap.

Tweaking the 5'1"

I made this little 5'1"white pony simmons style board that has been an ongoing project.  Lots of work.  At first I had it set up with twin keels parallel to the stringer.  It went fast, but no turning.  Next I took the fins off and toed them in a bit...  still no luck.  Next I reduced the fin area by sawing off part of the fin and sanding to reshape the remaining fin....  still didn't get the ride I was hoping for.  So now, I just finished installing the quad fin set up.  It looks like this will be the ticket!  I'll post a ride report soon.
